7KBW’s position as one of the UK’s top commercial Chambers has repeatedly been recognized by the two leading legal directors, Chambers UK and the Legal 500, and its Members have regularly been ranked amongst the best commercial silks and juniors in a number of fields.

Chambers UK recently described 7KBW as the “goliath of the insurance and reinsurance world”, a “major presence in the shipping and commodities sector” and “a set on the rise” in the field of international and domestic sale of goods cases (Chambers UK 2010).  Legal 500 recently described our members as “precise and skilled advocates, well versed in all applicable legal principles, whose judgment is to be trusted” (Legal 500 2009).

7KBW and its Members have also featured prominently in the Chambers Bar Awards in recent years, winning the Insurance Set of the Year Award ever since it was inaugurated in 2005 and the Insurance Silk of the Year Award in all but one of those years, as well as the Commercial Silk of the Year and Insurance Junior of the Year Awards in 2009.  Most recently 7KBW was again the winner of the 2010 Insurance Set of the Year Award.
